A few world records from Thailand
Thailand holds many official world records, and here are just a few of the most unusual...
1) Most expensive painting by a group of elephants

Their painting was entitled 'Cold Wind, Swirling Mist' and sold for the price of 1.5 million baht! At today's exchange rate that equates to a price of around £30,000 or $46,000! They're clearly some very talented elephants!

2) Most items taken out of hot oil with bare hands in one minute.
This seems like a bit of an irresponsible world record if you ask me, but the record was set by Kann Trichan of Thailand who successfully removed twelve chicken wings from hot oil with his bare hands on 11th March 2010. Presumably after achieving his world record breaking accomplishment, the Guinness Book Of Records representative must have said something like, "Congratulations! You've now got third degree burns and your hands may possibly be scarred for life ... but at least you broke the world record!"

3) Most couples married underwater simultaneously

All of the couples held international diving licences, and they all received waterproof marriage certificates before taking off their mouthpieces and indulging in an underwater kiss.
